Second Chances

This piece was created with much difficulty. I'm often frustrated as I try to pursue my dreams of being an artist while living my dream of being a mother. Sometimes they can coincide beautifully, and other times it feels like a catastrophy. Today is one of those days where I am talking myself out of giving it all up until my family is raised. However, I know we're not guaranteed tomorrow, so I'm choosing to live my dreams today, despite the difficulties and constant setbacks, and I'm thanking God for the gift of do-overs. This piece couldn't be more fitting. Christ is our ticket to trying again when we fail or when things go terribly wrong. How beautiful that this piece itself was a "do-over".
